A Micro Ear Surgery Camp was held at Guntakal on 7-8 July 2007, in association with Rotary Clubs of Chitradurga and Guntakal. This is the record 5th consecutive year, we are conducting an Ear Surgery camp at Guntakal. This time 450 poor patients with various ear problems were examined and 45 patients were selected for Micro-ear surgery. Dr. Prahlada N.B, Dr. Chadda, Bangalore and Dr. Prashanth K.B, JSWL, Hospet, performed surgery for 22 cases at Rotary Eye Hospital, Guntakal. Remaining 23 cases were operated at Karnataka ENT Hospital. Dr. Kishore and Dr. Ravikanth, ENT Surgeons from Guntakal helped us in this camp.

Miss. Maharum, Guntakal, a beneficiary of the camp operated earlier by Dr. Prahlada N.B. she had undergone micro ear surgery for both years in 2003 and 2004 successively. Earlier she had dropped out of the school because of deafness. Following surgery she regained her hearing and started going to school. This time she came with posse of her friends who needed middle ear micro surgery.
