Dear Prahlad, It gives me great pleasure to be able to invite you to be our guest speaker at our next Zimbabwe Society Of otolaryngologist (ZISOL) meeting in October 2007. Our theme for next year is Otology In Zimbabwe and at our last meeting I proposed that yourself and your team, will be the best candidates to share your experiences with us and also to move our practice in otology forward. This will be my last year as secretary general of the society and I am looking forward to running a memorable course and AGM. Our main aim is to recieve as many Lectures/Instructional courses as possible and dedicate one day to a temporal bone dissection course. I know this takes a lot of planning hence this early invitation so that we can get all our ducks in a row on time. It may be an idea to arrange the visit through Rotary International but I will take your lead on this. We have also embarked on a local trainning programme in ENT and would like to rotate our students for up to 3 months in some of your good units. I want that our students get similar training I got from you during my stay with you as a Otology fellow. How best can this be achieved? With regards to donation of instruments to Harare Hospital how best can i be of assistance? Do I need to send a request through Rotary? Keep well and hoping you will be able to make in October 2007. Clemence. Dr. Clemence Chidziva Dr. Prahlad, You are doing fantastic surgical work in your institution. I say, it is fabulous. I would like to be back and with you for sometime. I thank you and your wife Shyla, for the hospitality extended to me. I hope you will come over the space constraints you face here when you shift to new premises. I wish you teh best in every walk of life and your family too. De. S. Mayadevi, Dear Dr. Prahlada, You are a very exeprienced surgeon, with losts of abilities to teach, very sociable and lovable from all people around you and very capable of organizing many things, courses, lectures, operations etc., at the same time. Keep on improving this wonderful job you are doing. Everybody will support you. I had a great time with your wife, Shaila, who is a wonderful character, very clever but most of all very hospitable and thoughtfull. She makes us feel very comfortable and she has a great heart. Your children are very interlligent and very well brought up. I enjoyed my staying very much. Vassiliki Paliobei Sir, You are a candid teacher, a surgeon whose surgical skills should be adored with adjectives. I had come to karnataka for the first time and had lot of fears but after being with you, I fell I should have done postgraduation under you. You make the learning process so easy, favourable and pleasant that everyday there is a zeal for learning. Your attitude for petients is great - Failures never come with good attitude - is the best learning which I had and in the first and best attempt I saw from you. madam was a great lady - I will be ever obliged to her for the comforts she gave me during my stay - such a mely geeling it was - for a comfortable atmosphere she created - the learning was better. Amogh and Amulya are so sweet and intelligent - I will miss them a lot. These few sentences are to keep my memories in you - but I adore you and your family from the core of my heart. Rajalaxmi Dr. Rajalaxmi Panigrahi Dear Dr. Prahlad and Madam, I am really thankful to both of you from bottom of my heart. I had completed my MS ENT 18 years back. I had my own nursing home at Nanded district, Maharashtra state. At my learning period there was no microscope nor a micromotor drill. I always had a fear to do ear surgeries. Somehow I knew about your short term fellowship programmed and I came here. Sir, you are a very good teacher. You taught me step by step, the techniques of ear surgeries. My dream was to do tympanoplasty. Now I think I have full confidence after completing this short term fellowship program. After going from here, I will start ear surgeries with confidence only. I am also thankful to Shaila madam. Madam you are right hand our Prahlad sir. Any small problem you helped me a lot, for that thank you very much. Amulya and amogh are nice kids and loveable kids. Thanks to all the staff also, all of them cooperated with me. I never felt alone here. Instead I felt like home and a family member. I will definitely come again to have more knowledge and education. Dr. Sharada Thelang. Respected sir & Madam, When I was doint my MS (ENT) I prayed God, please make me an ENT Surgeon and not a general practitioner. God fulfulled my dream by giving me post of Asst Prof in Govt Medical College. After joining as an AP, I learned most of the surgeries as I have performed those surgerey once or twice during Postgraduation. But in years I was able to do few surgereis, but there was no one to tell whether I am doing it correctly or just doing it. I really wanted to know right way to do things. Yours course is very good for the doctors who are already in service or those who have passed there Postgraduation years back and have not learn sufficiently. There are many courses and conferences happening in the country, but those will not give us hands-on experience. I came here and learned to use the microscope and could see the thing swhich read only in books and have imagined them. You have increased by my depth of vision and knowledge. Your way of teaching step by step is also very good. Your patience is marvellous. And your devotion for ENT has made me to think that how much of time I have wasted. in my life doing nothing fruitful. I will try to change my pattern of living. There is one thing that I have learned to my expectation because my expectations hae increased after watching you doing surgeries. Please allow me to come here repeatedly and make me a good surgeon and a good doctor. Thanks for all the hospitality you and madam have given me. Lots of regards, Dr. Ritu Nigam Lovely place to visit. Dr. Prahlad works like mad. He has a passion for doing ENT work and I wish him best of luck. My stay was too short - however, I picked up whatever I could during this period. My health also prevented me from taking the full advantage. Thank you very much and I wish you luck Dr. Prahald. Mr. N. Sinha, FRCS. Dear Dr. Prahlada and Madam, Dear sir, at the beginning the best and more thanks for your wife (Madam Shaila) not just for her delicious Omelet breakfast but for her kindeness and her continous smile that make us one member of your family. About your 2nd family for Bindu, duggesh and Ramesh, nice and good staff of your hospital. I can't imagine how I will work wihout them and I will defentily miss them in our country. About you !!! You are a big teacher in everything. I think that you should build a large school that make anyone to learn more and more in different types of surgeries not just otology. At the end, I wish to be continue in your contact and I hope you visit our country in future tu return the generocity and kindness of yours and your family. Your friend for ever, Dr. Muaid I. Aziz Dear Dr. Prahlad, First of all we vare very thankfull for your kind hospitality and nice family. About our training course there are few points I would like say it. First is that you should have more time with the trainer during the course especially between surgeries so that they can ask you about difficulties they face duirng surgereis and some point that they might ask your about and also some times for lectures and dissection so that the program will be completed theoretically and clinically. Neverthlesswe are so greatful for you and your family to have such great time and also thank you for providing such wonderful course. With regards, Dr. Ahmed Thabit Numan. Dear Prahlad sir, I am really thankful to you for the time you have spend for me and the techniques you have taught me. Your programme is a god given gift for ENT surgeons who could no learn sufficiently during their post-graduation or for those who have lost surgical touch due to not doing continously. It was great to work with you because I never felt tension or strian during the period contrary to my expectations. It was great to see you and your wife and your entire staff working together as a single unit in a family atmosphere. Shaila madam requires special thanks not only for hte tasty dineer on your birthday, but also for her friendliness and the support she gives you in your work which makes you have free time to spend iwth trainees like me. I wish you all success not only as the new CEO of Basaveshwara Medical College, but also in all future endeavors. Let god bless you and your family and children. Looking forward to join you again. Dr. Asif K.P Dear Prahlad, I was so happy to stay here and join your courses - Hands-on and temporal bone dissection. It was a great experience from professional point of view and human point of vidw. I had a great surgical experience but also I could feel at home meeting kind people and tasting good food. My hope is to come back as early as possible and keep in touch. All the best. Alberto Eibenstein
